Who Is Your Current Insurance Carrier?

Does your card look similar to this? I see this one all the time.

I even see them all over Facebook ads. ID cards and insurance can be soooooo confusing.
Do you think “Cigna” is the insurer when you look at this card? I’ve hidden the actual carrier logo in this image, but if your ID card looks like this then your insurance is not through Cigna!

How do I know?

Because Cigna left Texas when ACA (Obamacare) rolled out. Recently, Cigna even stop renewing all of their previously “grandfathered” plans in Texas! So Cigna is not your insurer, despite their prominent logo on your card.

Insurance is so confusing. PPO, EPO, HMO… Do not be in the dark about exactly what coverages you have.

Another question…
